That time of the year is back again! Halloween season is in full swing and Blizzard is celebrating by bringing the Overwatch Halloween Terror event back for a second year. The Halloween event from last year was certainly a popular one that introduced a fun PvE mode and some ghoulish renditions of our favorite heroes. This year Symmetra, Reaper, Zenyatta, Torbjorn, McCree, Ana, Mei and Zarya are getting new skins to celebrate the scariest time of the year.
So let the debates over which hero ended up with the best new Halloween skin begin!
Ana – Corsair
Let’s be honest. It took Blizzard entirely too long to put a parrot on Ana’s shoulder. But since the end result looks so cool anyway, we’re willing to forgive the delay.
Zenyatta – Cultist
Zenyatta has been transformed into an awesome looking cyborg kraken thing, which comes as no surprise since he was the face of this year’s Halloween event promotions. Either way, getting a detailed look at the new skin its entirety unveils some pretty cool details like those dangling tentacles.
Reaper – Dracula
Reaper was lucky enough to get a cool legendary skin last year and the Blizzard team has bestowed yet another wonderful gift unto Reaper mains everywhere. This year, Reaper trades in his pumpkin head for a Dracula skin that doesn’t look terribly different from his usual look… but we’ll all still be begging for it in our loot boxes.
Symmetra – Dragon
This skin was pretty unexpected for Symmetra but let’s take a minute to praise whoever had the idea to turn this dangerous Support hero into a dragon. It’s a completely different look for Symmetra and a creative way to adapt a dragon design to make sense for a human form.
Mei – Jiangshi
Mei must be a favorite for someone on the Overwatch team. Shortly after receiving an animated short, she has also received a new Halloween skin this year. But after seeing Mei’s story unfold in an animation and learning why Snowball is being kept in that power source on her back, you can’t blame Blizzard for wanting to spoil her with some new gifts.
Zarya – Totally 80’s
This is another skin that took too long to arrive, but we’re just happy it did. Zarya is officially dressed like the 80’s fitness instructor of your wildest dreams (or nightmares). It all depends on how you feel about working out.
McCree – Van Helsing
Overwatch players had already received a sneak peek at McCree’s skin through social media but, again, seeing the whole thing in detail is still quite the treat.
Torbjorn – Viking
Just when you thought biker Torbjorn and pirate Torbjorn were the best versions of this turret-loving hero, the Halloween event introduced viking Torbjorn!
