Star Wars: Battlefront was originally released back in 2015 and saw a reboot of the popular Battlefront games from the PS2 era. The game was praised by critics and gamers for its incredible graphics and music, but was criticized for being quite bare bones for a full price game. EA has supported the game with a number of new maps and now you can get it all for just a few bucks.
The season pass for Star Wars: Battlefront, which gets you all the extra maps, is currently FREE to download on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Origin. The main game itself is also seeing a deep sale and is only a few bucks. On the PlayStation Store you can nab it for $5.09, $4.50 on the Xbox Store (though you need Gold), and $4.99 on Origin.
If you were put off by the game’s steep price then now is the perfect time to jump in. You get all that content for just a few dollars. It’ll also be good practice for the upcoming release of Star Wars: Battlefront II later this year. It’s surprising that EA hasn’t yet promoted this big sale.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is set to be released on November 17. Unlike the original, it has been announced that the game’s season pass will be totally free, so all future content will come free of charge. However, it will feature microtransactions.
