Call of Duty: WWII Reveals More of Its Campaign’s Narrative With a New Trailer

Fight for your country.

Call of Duty: WWII

Call of Duty: WWII is going to tell an engaging story straight out of World War II for its campaign mode. We just haven’t learned very much about it. The latest trailer released for the game just today gives additional details on the narrative, which follows Private Ronald “Red” Daniels, who’s just experienced his first brush with combat on D-Day.

The trailer recounts Red’s experiences as he and the rest of his squad in the U.S. First Infantry Division work their way across Europe. The game will feature battles in locations such as the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, culminating in the squad’s entrance into Germany.

The footage is raw and gritty, showcasing a more serious side to Call of Duty than before, even with entries like World at War, with realistic movements and animations. It looks pretty fantastic, and experiencing this kind of war story through the eyes of a newbie will likely make the story even more harrowing than it would have been otherwise.

The game is scheduled for release on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
