A Bug Is Plaguing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Voice Chat

Are the voices in your head, or in the game?

Isn’t online gaming in the modern era great? You can play video games and chat with people from all over the world in an instant. But right now PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG for short) is letting you talk to a few too many people. A bug in the system is affecting voice chat in a way that makes it so you not only hear your team members but also the players you are hunting as well. This bug isn’t affecting everyone, but if you hear sudden voices in your head not belonging to you or your party members, you aren’t going crazy. Well, maybe.

The developers of the game are aware of the issue, tweeting that there would be a fix soon. Afterall, with over 10 million copies of the game sold and 1 million concurrent players dropping in and killing each other every day, PUBG should be up and running smoothly for all to enjoy. So don’t be surprised, even if you haven’t been affected by this bug, to see a patch go through to fix this issue in the very near future. And get back to winning that chicken dinner.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an online arena battle royale game that is currently available on PC through Steam and the game’s official site. The title will also be coming to the Xbox One family of consoles in late 2017. Although widely played as a third-person shooter, there is also a new first person mode to kick up the difficulty and intensity.
