.hack fans, rejoice! .hack//G.U. Last Recode is headed for a release on both PlayStation 4 and PC on November 3, as announced by Bandai Namco. Taking place in 2017, the game follows the protagonist Haseo on the hunt to take out Pos, or Player Killers, inside the infamous MMORPG known as The World. It’s okay if none of that really makes sense. It’s been quite some time since anyone had a talk about the .hack universe or the games within it.
That’s why the game comes with Terminal Disc footage to help put you where you need to be in terms of the story in the game so you can start right away. It doesn’t matter if you’ve played before as long as you give said footage a look-see. There’s also a special “Cheat Mode,” which allows you to utilize certain power-ups if you’ve played the game before or just need some assistance getting through it, like powering up, increased movement speed and more.
There’s a new trailer to soak up if you’re waiting with baited breath for the game to release. But there’s so many other things coming out around that same time that you might need a whole other month to set aside from tackling this massive game, too.
