Following yesterday’s tease of an incoming announcement, PlayStation’s European division has revealed today that Gran Turismo Sport will be getting the limited edition PlayStation 4 treatment. Polyphony Digital’s president Kazunori Yamauchi relayed the news himself via the region’s PlayStation Blog.
Arriving on October 18, which is the same day that the game itself launches, the system is a PlayStation 4 Slim model with a 1 terabyte HDD and the Gran Turismo Sport logo etched onto its silver casing. The silver DualShock 4 controller that comes with the console will feature this same logo on its touch panel. The set will include a copy of the Day 1 edition of the game and bonus perks including $250,000 in-game credits, sticker packs, a chrome racing helmet and 60 PlayStation 4 avatars.
If you don’t feel like battling digital cues in order to snag a limited edition console you’re in luck, as Sony is also making available four other bundles that include standard copies of the game. Though all jet black, fans will be able to choose from a 1 TB, 500 GB, 1 TB plus extra jet black DualShock 4 controller or Pro edition console come release day.
Currently the limited edition Gran Turismo Sport PlayStation 4 bundle is slated for release in the UK, Europe and Australasia. There’s no word yet as to whether or not North American fans will be treated to the same goodies come October.
This isn’t the only recent limited edition console announcement, as Microsoft unveiled a slew of great-looking Xbox One consoles at Gamescom this year.
