ARMS Brings Second DLC Character in Next Update, Version 2.1 Patch Notes Released

Nintendo has supported ARMS with free content updates since the game launched in June, and gamers are in for a treat as Nintendo is working on more exciting additions. Shortly after ARMS update 2.1 became available, Nintendo teased that its second DLC character and a new Arm will be included in the next patch.

On Twitter, the developer confirmed that a major update will come after update 2.1. At present, not much is known regarding the new Arm and the next playable fighter, though past data mines have leaked the names of possible additional characters such as Twintale, Plant, Coil, and Robo. So far, ARMS has received one DLC character in the form of Max Brass.

Meanwhile, ARMS update 2.1 was recently released and adds five Training exercises, bug fixes, hitbox adjustments, and a sizable amount of balancing changes. Check below the full patch notes shared by Nintendo:

  • Moved “Training” to the top menu.
  • Added five exercises to “Training”, and added difficulty level indications.
  • Adjusted the way the rush gauge fills, decreasing the amount gained for punches that do not connect with the opponent.
  • When 3-4 players start a battle, instructions on how to switch targets will now be displayed. A cursor will also be displayed above the current target for a set time.
  • Adjusted hitbox sizes for fighters, improving issues where hits were not registered despite looking like hits.
  • Changed the pause, results, and replay menus in “Training” to be more convenient.
  • For “Best Stage” in Stats, made it harder for less frequently played stages to be selected, even if you have a high win ration on them.
  • Corrected issue that caused the game to hang-up when the ending was skipped at a particular time.

Guardian Made it so the electric shock when a charge attack connects lasts longer.

Seekie Increased retraction speed.
Made it so the electric shock when a charge attack connects doesn’t last as long.
