TennoCon has wrapped up, offering Warframe players a chance to participate in live panels ran by developers, visit an escape room, enjoy amazing cosplay, and be surrounded by fellow Tenno in London. But for those who weren’t able to make it, portions of the event were streamed, including some pretty big announcements. The biggest news from TennoCon? The newest Warframe update, Plains of Eidolon will introduce a new location that promises to be an open world.
Explore, discover, fight, and fly through Warframe in a way you never have before. In the Plains of Eidolon you will set foot in a Landscape larger than anything you’ve seen in Warframe — and you’re free to explore it on your own terms. Expect to summon your Archwing at will for air travel and battle, and experience the great outdoors as you hunt resources in the rivers and streams. But beware — when night falls, even the invading Grineer flee, as what was thought to have perished in the Old War still lurks at night.
The announcement came in the form of a 17-minute live demo showcasing the new colony and how players will be able to interact with this location and it’s inhabitants, from finding missions to combat in the newly created area. The Plains of Eidolon update will go live before the end of 2017, giving you plenty of time to prepare yourself for when this new world blows your mind!
