Spider-Man, the PlayStation 4 exclusive game, was first announced last year at E3 2016 and at this year’s E3 we got to see it in action. The game looks like every Spider-Man fan’s dream come true and it looks like the closest thing to actually being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Whilst we’ve seen some gameplay footage, there’s still plenty about the game we don’t know, including how large the open world of New York City will be. Developer Insomniac Games revealed on Twitter that it can’t say exactly how large the map is but that it’s “several times larger” than the map of the studio’s previous game Sunset Overdrive.
The Tweet came after a fan asked how big the map will be compared to the map seen in CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
That's not a comparison we can really make. It's several times larger than Sunset City was tho

It seems safe to say that the game’s map will indeed be vast and that there will be plenty of room for players to do all the things Spidey can. An exact release date is yet to be announced for Spider-Man but it is currently slated for an early 2018 release date. We certainly can’t wait to get our hands on it.
