As if PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds wasn’t already challenging enough, you will be able to bump it up a notch soon and play on first-person only dedicated servers coming sometime very soon according to a tweet from the game’s Creative Director.
The dedicated servers will be arriving via a monthly update with a followup tweet saying, “We will bring 1st person only to EU/NA SOLO and DUO games first, and once we have polished the system, we will expand to other regions.”

In the normal, non-specified servers, players have the ability to shift between third and first-person perspectives. Third-person is the common format, used for surveying large areas for enemy players since you get a wider perspective of the map. Meanwhile, first-person is best for when you are engaging or firing at an enemy, attempting to zero in on landing shots and critical hits.
The first-person servers will be completely optional, and offer a greater challenge due the limited visibility.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently only available on PC via Steam in Early Access. It was confirmed at E3 that the popular title will also be making it’s way to Xbox One sometime after it’s PC release in late 2017, with PS4 to arrive at a later date.
