How to Get Midna’s Helmet in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s first DLC introduces a few new elements to the game which includes new quests, some trials, the ability to up the difficulty, and some cool gear from other games in the series. One of those pieces of gear is Midna’s Helmet who many fans may recognize from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It’s a pretty useful piece of equipment as it increases player resistance against Guardian attacks. You know, those powerful, mechanical menaces that like to shoot lasers and use strong melee attacks. Since we now know that Midna’s Helmet is so useful, let’s go get it.

First off, you’ll need the Twilight Relic quest as it will help guide you to Midna’s Helmet (though you can technically find the items without it, we found this much easier). You can get the quest by heading to the ruins east of the Great Plateau Tower and finding a notebook in one of the buildings along the southern edge (this guide breaks it down). The quest will help you find a different set of ruins to find a clue, after which you need to head to the Central Tower (you can fast travel here if you’ve unlocked it, it’s southeast of the Giant’s Forest). You’re only traveling here to reach the Giant’s Forest anyway, so if you don’t have the tower yet for some reason (such as just seeing the sights since the game came out) just start making your way towards the forest. You’ll want to jump into the water that is to the west of the forest on your map. This is where the Sage Temple Ruins are located, and where you’ll find Midna’s Helmet.

Swim over to the ruins and look for a pile of broken stone with a sword and shield nearby (both rusty). Using Magnesis, you should be able to locate a chest underneath that you can pull out. Once you open it, you’ll find The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s shiny new Midna’s Helmet.

That’s all you need to know to get Midna’s Helmet in Breath of the Wild’s new DLC. If you need help with any other aspect of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, be sure to check out our extensive wiki.
