How to Get the Phantom Armor Set in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Been looking for a way to boost your attack power while playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Well, if you happen to have the Master Trials DLC, you’re in luck. Out of the many new pieces of equipment added into the game by way of this DLC, three of them make up the Phantom Armor Set which fans may remember from one of the series’ more classic entries. Having the set on boosts your attack and gives your eyes a cool, menacing glow.

To help guide you to this awesome set of armor, you’ll want to activate the Phantasma quest, which is one of the new equipment quests added as part of the DLC (you can see how to grab them all in one shot here). While it’s not 100% necessary to have the quest, it does help to guide you along in case you get a bit turned around. Also, who doesn’t like seeing more quests in their completed quest list? It will lead to a journal talking about the Phantom Armor Set. You’ll get clues about the location of each piece (there are three in total), so get ready to explore and bring your trusty magnet power.

You’ll find all of the pieces in Central Hyrule, so you don’t have to travel far:

  • One piece is on the center island of the Sacred Grounds, near the southeast of the water around that island.
  • Another is in the Old Coliseum Ruins. Check the northwest corner of the area and you’ll find the chest in a wall.
  • The final piece can be found in the Hyrule Garrison Ruins. Check southeast part of the area and you’ll find the chest near a Guardian (don’t worry, it’s dead).

Once you have all three, put them on to don the full might of the Phantom Armor Set and strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. For more on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, be sure to check out our wiki.
