Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, the monthly subscription service offering over 100 games for Xbox One users to download, will add at least five new games every month, the company said.
“So on the first of every month, you’re going to see at least five new games enter the Game Pass catalog – every single month,” said Dennis Ceccarelli, Xbox Game Pass senior product manager, when asked about the rotation of games during Xbox’s daily E3 live stream this week. “Again, we’re really trying to give a great mix of games across different ratings, different experiences, different genres, so no matter who you are, if you’re a Game Pass member, every single month there’s something new for you to play.”
Ceccarelli noted his team have seen questions and concerns over how long games would stay within the service, and said the first games in the pass would not leave until November. He also said that there is “no set amount of time that a game will remain in the catalog.”
The Xbox Game Pass launched on June 1 for $9.99 per month, and gives members 20% off any game currently in the service and 10% off any add-on related to those games.
