Rocket League was originally released on the PlayStation 4 back in 2015 and instantly became a hit for its adrenaline fueled motor madness. Blending soccer with cars, Rocket League sees teams of players use cars to score goals against the pother team. The game has since been made available on pretty much every platform at this point and, at E3, it was revealed that it is heading for the Nintendo Switch.

In an interview with GameSpot, Psyonix VP Jeremy Dunham stated that the Switch edition will run at 720p with 60 frames-per-second, regardless of whether the console is docked or not. Even when using two-player splitscreen on an undocked console, the framerate should remain solid. Meanwhile, the Xbox One X version will run at 4K and HDR.

It has also been announced that cross-play for the game will be available for Switch, Xbox, and PC players but it seems Sony isn’t ready to make the same commitment. Rocket League is set to be released on the Switch this Holiday season.
