Electronic Arts has revealed more details on the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 as part of its EA Play event today.
According to an EA press release, FIFA 18 can be played in docked, handheld, or tabletop mode. The Switch version will output a 1080p resolution for docked mode and a 720p resolution for handheld. The game can be played with either the handheld itself, a single Joy-Con, dual Joy-Con, or the Pro Controller.
Game modes on FIFA 18 for Switch include Career Mode, Kick Off, Local Seasons, and Ultimate Team where players can take part in Squad Building Challenges, Online and Offline Seasons, Tournaments, and Draft. Multiplayer with two Switch consoles will be supported with Local Seasons, Kick-Off, Career Mode, Online Seasons, Tournaments, Women’s International Cup, and Skill Games.
The only mode not coming to the Switch version is The Journey: Hunter Returns, which is returning from the previous entry in the franchise. The Journey: Hunter Returns follows rising superstar Alex Hunter through his conflicts on and off the pitch. The reveal trailer released last week wrote in fine print that the mode would be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms only.
FIFA 18 launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Origin for PC on Sept. 29.
