Injustice 2: How to Clash

How to Clash in Injustice 2

Recommended Videos

The Clash system from the first game makes a return in Injustice 2. It’s very useful for players getting the short end of the stick. A well-timed Clash can turn the tide of a battle in Injustice 2. When used correctly it can return your health or, if you’re on the offensive, let you deal some serious damage to an opponent. The game only tells you how to do it once, though, and it’s easy to forget.

Before you can Clash in Injustice 2 you must be on your second life bar. This is to ensure that you don’t abuse it to try to control the fight from the jump. Another thing to note is that you can only use it once, win or lose. Still, it’s useful, so it’s good to keep up your sleeve. When you’re on the second bar, if you find yourself in the middle of a combo just press forward plus R2. This will trigger the Clash. Once triggered, you have to wager segments of your super bar in order to beat your opponents wager.

You can bet up to all of your super bar segments or none of them. Depending on which side of the Clash you’re on, there will be a different effect. For defenders (the one who triggers it), you can regain health if you win that’s dependent on the difference of wagers (up to 33% of health can be returned). Attackers will get a damage bonus that works in the same way if you win.

Using this ability in Injustice 2 is a good way to goad your opponents out. You don’t have to wager anything, and if you’re worried about an opponent using a super, or just want to drain them, it’s a good trick to use.
