Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 came out earlier this week on May 5. To commemorate the film’s release, Marvel Heroes 2016/Omega is celebrating with brand new content. Unfortunately, a lot of the content is exclusive to Marvel Heroes 2016, the PC version of the game. Marvel Heroes Omega, currently in closed beta for PlayStation 4, will be having an account wipe before the game goes live.
Here’s a list of all the new content and goodies you can grab:
- New Costumes (PC, PS4) – New Costumes for both Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are now available! Rocket Raccoon’s new Enhanced Costume includes an updated Groot summon inspired by the new film!
- Cosmic Chaos (PC) – The Cosmic Chaos event returns, starting Thursday, May 4th at 12:01 AM PST and running until Wednesday, May 10th at 11:59 PM PST!
- Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon Bonus XP (PC) – For the duration of the Cosmic Chaos event, both Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon will receive a 100% bonus XP! This bonus stacks with the 42% server-side XP bonus from the Cosmic Chaos event.Login Reward – Log in any time between Thursday, May 4th and Wednesday, May 10th and receive 2 of the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Fortune Cards!
- New Fortune Card (PC) – A new Fortune Card inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is also now available, including a chance at brand new Team-Up Variants for Drax and Gamora both inspired by the new film!

Marvel Heroes 2016 can be downloaded and played for free on PC, while those interested in a console release can either buy a founder’s pack on the PlayStation Store or keep an eye out for the multiple key raffles the Gazillion has going on. An Xbox One release will be coming at a later time.
