Fire Emblem Echoes: How to Recruit Mycen

How to Recruit Mycen in Fire Emblem Echoes

Recommended Videos

Mycen is a critically important character to the story of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and as Alm’s grandfather he’s one of the first characters you meet in the game. He’s a powerful Gold Knight renowned as a great hero across the land of Zofia. Fortunately, he’s also recruitable for your army as well, although not until quite late in the game.

Without spoiling any plot details for Fire Emblem Echoes, Mycen won’t be recruitable until the end of Act 4. Just see both Alm and Celica’s storylines through to the end of the Act, and you’ll automatically be given the option to recruit Mycen into Alm’s army. The Gold Knight can be an invaluable ally heading into the later parts of the game, as he comes with plenty of attack and defense power, although like most other units of his type he’s weak to magical attacks. It is quite possible by this point, however, that you already have a Paladin that can be promoted to Gold Knight, and ends up already stronger than Mycen. Still, more units certainly can’t hurt.
