Today, Ubisoft has announced that it is opening two new studios in Europe later this year.
The news comes via a post on UbiBlog announcing the planned opening of a studio in both Bordeaux, France, and Berlin, Germany respectively.
According to the post, the two new studios will “focus on AAA multiplatform development, and will assist in creating new games for some of the biggest franchises in gaming.”
Ubisoft Bordeaux is set to collaborate on games whose development is led by French studios, including Just Dance, Steep, and Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ubisoft Berlin, on the other hand, will be working alongside the BlueByte teams on a currently-unannounced AAA project. Perhaps we’ll find out more about it during Ubisoft’s E3 conference in June.
Commenting on the opening of these two AAA European studios, Executive Director of Ubisoft’s worldwide studios, Christine Burgess-Quemard said, “We pride ourselves on attracting and retaining the best creative talent around the world, and on establishing video games as a viable career option and economic contributor in new locales.”
If you’re interested in working at either the Bordeaux or Berlin-based Ubisoft studios, check out the job listings links within the post.
