After completing Resident Evil 7 and seeing the game through to its end, players were treated to a very brief teaser for an upcoming piece of DLC titled “Not A Hero.” The DLC was going to feature Chris Redfield, and it was set for a spring release. However, Capcom has just announced that the DLC will be pushed back. You can check out the development team’s video message down below.
According to the team, they had tried to finish up the DLC in time for the spring release. However, due to the overwhelmingly positive reception to Resident Evil 7, the team decided that the DLC’s quality simply wasn’t up to snuff, and it needed more time in development so that it could be worthy of fans’ expectations. No new release date has been announced just yet, but Capcom reassures fans that it will still be released for free. In addition to that, it was also mentioned that the team is currently working on a new piece of unannounced DLC, though we don’t have any details on that just yet.
Resident Evil 7 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
