Developer Frontier has today announced that its popular titles Planet Coaster and Elite: Dangerous will be getting a physical, retail release later this year.
Currently, we only know when Planet Coaster will arrive in stores. The popular theme park management sim will be available in retailers from May 23 for PC. Meanwhile, Elite: Dangerous will get a retail version of its Legendary Edition for PS4 and Xbox One only. Frontier has yet to confirm a release date for Elite Dangerous: Legendary Edition outside of saying it’ll arrive later this year.
For those unaware, this Legendary Edition of the popular space sim comes with its large Horizons expansion and 1,000 Frontier points which can be used to buy items in-game.
These retail releases are made possible thanks to a partnership between the games’ developer Frontier, and publisher Sold Out. We’ll be sure to update you as we hear more on when Elite: Dangerous’ retail release for PS4 and Xbox One has a narrower release window.
