Zelda Breath of the Wild: How to Get the Zora Armor Set

Zora Armor – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Unlike previous Zelda games, Breath of the Wild gives you a ton of different clothing options to dress Link in, each of which give you various bonuses. One of the armor sets you can get in the game is the Zora Armor, which will boost your swimming speed on top of the defense boost it gives you. As you might expect, getting the Zora Armor is done by following the Zora section of the main quest line, we’ll walk you through how to get it.

After you start the game and find Impa in Kakariko Village, you’ll get a main quest in Breath of the Wild called “Free the Divine Beasts.” You’ll want to find the beast Vah Ruta of the Zora, which will be the most Southeast waypoint on your map when you’ve selected the quest. Head to the designated area and you’ll get a quest to meet the Zora Prince, Sidon. Just follow the objectives and waypoint until you finally arrive at Zora’s Domain. Now head all the way up the structure and talk to the Zora King. Once the conversation is over, you’ll be rewarded with the Zora Armor. However, you’ll still be missing the helm and pants for the outfit in Breath of the Wild.

First off to get the helm, you’ll want to head to an area called Toto Lake. This is the northernmost point on your map in the Zora’s Domain area, simply swim North from the domain and you’ll hit a massive waterfall. Make sure you have the Zora Armor equipped, and swim up the waterfall. Once you’re at the top swim up the second waterfall, and you’ll finally arrive at the lake. There’s some flooded ruins in the lake that you’ll need to swim over to. Once there climb up the brick wall on the right and look toward the back of the ruins. You’ll spot a treasure chest, that you should be able to pull out and onto the platform you’re on with the magnesis rune. Inside you’ll find the Zora Helm.

Next up, to find the Zora Greaves you’ll need to take a quest at the domain. Laflat is a female Zora that you’ll find on the bottom platform, and she needs help taking a picture of a certain creature. A Lynel has been spotted on the top of Ploymus Mountain and she wants you to take a picture of it. Luckily, this is the same place you went to retrieve Shock Arrows for the Divine Beasts quest. If you’ve already done this you’ll know where you need to get back to, if not, then follow the main quest until it takes you there. Ploymus Mountain is to the right side of Zora’s Domain, a short trip, and you’ll spot the fearsome centaur-like Lynel wandering the top. Take his picture, and return to Laflat.

Upon completion of the sidequest, you’ll be rewarded with the Zora Greaves. Now you have the entire set, which will significantly boost your swimming speed.
