The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Using the Binoculars

Recommended Videos

The world of Hyrule is extremely vast and large in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Every now and then, you’ll want to get a closer look at that tall tower you see in the distance, or just scope out your surroundings to look for enemies before jumping into a fight. You can do that with the game’s binoculars function.

The Sheikah Slate you receive at the beginning of the game functions primarily as a map, but you can use it as a binoculars or a scope as well. All you have to do is click in the right analog stick, and Link will bring up the Sheikah Slate and use it as a scope. From here, you can zoom in to look at faraway places. In this mode, you can also mark locations or points of interest that you might want to check out later on.

It’s definitely recommended that you use the binoculars as often as you can, especially when you’re first entering new and unknown territory.
