Can You Fix Weapons? – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Breath of the Wild has finally arrived, and it’s a bit of a stickler about survival. Not only does Link need to find clothing and food, but he also needs to be on the lookout for breaking weapons. His shields, swords, axes–you name it–will all take durability damage and eventually explode. That in mind, you might be wondering if there’s a way to fix weapons in Breath of the Wild.

Sadly, the answer here is no. Weapons cannot be fixed or repaired in Breath of the Wild. Instead, you’ll need to manage weapon switching in order to keep your equipment in check. Don’t waste your stronger weapons and their durability on weak enemies. Likewise, it’s probably useless to break all your meager axes on a big opponent. Make sure all your best equipment has high enough durability to last you the next encounter, and if it doesn’t, you’ll have to find yourself new gear.

Luckily, there’s weapons and armor all over Breath of the Wild’s open world. You can buy some off merchants, and even take them from defeated enemies. Either way, you’ll spend a lot of time mourning your departed arms, and for that, we are sorry.
