Pokemon GO’s has a ton of different content for players to enjoy. There’s a massive amount of Pokemon in the mix, and even some that are only attainable by using special evolution stones (or items). Now, it’s not immediately evident how you can get your hands on these special rocks, but it’s actually really easy to do so. Here’s how to get Evolution Stones in Pokemon GO.

Where Do I Get Evolution Stones in Pokemon GO?

Awesome question!  These evolution stones (or items, if you’d rather call them that since some aren’t just rocks) can all be obtained from Poke Stops. Though rare, you can get them as rewards for spinning when you’re near a Poke Stop. Since this is completely randomized, if you’d rather something more absolute, you can of course purchase any of them for real world money. But, hey, better to do it the free way, right?

Which Pokemon Does Each Evolution Stone Evolve?

Another great question. Now that you know how to get these special pebbles and have some of them, you need to know which Pokemon they evolve. The evolution stones are all used for specific evolutions with specific pocket monsters, and we’ve listed out all of them below.

Dragon Scale: Seadra into Kingdra.

King’s Rock: Poliwhirl into Politoad and Slowbro into Slowking.

Metal Coat: Onix into Steelix and Scyther into Scizor.

Sun Stone: Gloom into Bellossom and Sunkern into Sunflora.

Up-Grade: Porygon into Porygon2.

That’s all there is to it, though! That’s how you get evolution stones in Pokemon GO and where to find the evolution stones. As well as which Pokemon they each evolve.
