Joy-Con Controller Issues – Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch uses wireless controllers for players to interact with the console while it’s in Dock Mode. The controllers can also be used wirelessly in tabletop mode, but there are some issues being reported while playing with the Switch on the TV. At times, the Joy-Con controllers will lose connection with the hardware and not work as they should, causing latency in your button presses and other problems.
This issue is caused when there’s anything blocking the line-of-sight between your Nintendo Switch and your controllers. The path between the devices needs to be clear. If you have anything in front of your console, even if it’s something small, simply move it elsewhere. Also, while playing, make sure you can see the console clearly and that nothing is directly in front of you either.
This will ensure that the Joy-Con work as they should so there’s no interruption while you’re enjoying games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
There are no other known issues at the moment with the Joy-Con, but we’ll be sure to update if any should arise.
