A new trailer for Injustice 2 has dropped. This one, called “Shattered Friendships,” delves a little bit into the story mode and the fractured relationships that are still around after the first game. Not helping matters is when Brainiac and Supergirl arrive to Earth, forcing the heroes of the DC universe to debate about whether or not to bust Superman out of prison to take them down. This being a superhero game, there’s only one way to have that debate: punch the crap out of each other.

Even without Superman adding trouble to the mix, no one really seems to be completely friendly with one another during the story mode of Injustice 2. Batman and Robin still have their problems, Superman will have to fight his cousin, and Blue Beetle and Cyborg aren’t faring much better. Maybe these guys should all invest in group therapy.
Injustice 2 comes to the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
