It’s been a great week for gaming. A new console means more games and more developments within the medium we all love. The dust has just about settled on Nintendo’s Switch presentation, in which they announced a host of new games like Super Mario Oddysey and Splatoon 2. This means that it’s about time for some hot takes from within the industry.
Mike Ybarra first weighed in on Twitter, congratulating Nintendo on the successful event. Mike runs the Xbox gaming platform at Microsoft. It’s great to see such camaraderie between these two industry titans!
Fun and exciting @Nintendo announcement. Great time to be a gamer. Congrats @NintendoAmerica and WW teams. #gaming #excited.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer later took to the same medium to display his excitement for the Switch, mentioning the consoles two biggest titles, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey.
Mario looked new/fresh. Zelda should be great. Hybrid console, will be fun to see what new game ideas come from that.

Looks like he’s just as captivated as the rest of us after that showstopping event.
