Pokemon Duel, a multiplayer strategic board game using Nintendo’s pocket monsters, is now available on iOS and Android devices.
In the game, players construct a team of six Pokemon figurines to move around a game board against another player in real time. The objective is to reach the opponent’s goal on the other side of the board through turn-based movement and combat. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.
The game is free to download, but offers a premium currency that can be used for new Pokemon and items. According to the official Pokemon Duel website, Gems can be earned by logging in daily, completing daily missions, or can be purchased with real money.
Pokemon Duel originally released in Japan last year under the name Pokemon Co-master, and was created by The Pokemon Company. The studio also developed the 2015 match-3 puzzle game Pokemon Shuffle for Nintendo 3DS and mobile.
