Yesterday, Ubisoft released some brand new gameplay for Ghost Recon Wildlands that shows off how the game will play solo. Check out the 20-minute demo with developer commentary below.
The demo kicks off during the final conflict of the player’s previous mission and sees the squad seamlessly taking off in a helicopter towards the next mission on the horizon. The game’s world size has been the number one bullet point Ubisoft has made clear whenever showing the game, but this demo gives you a good idea of just how massive it is.
The squad touches down outside the town their target resides in, and this is where we first see the squad commands that have always defined Ghost Recon. Worth noting was the developer’s choice to command the squad to hold outside the town while the player sneaks in.
This decision felt like an intentional choice to not have AI accidentally trip the guards. In combat, the AI seemed to perform well, but Wildlands is definitely a game you’ll want to be playing with friends whenever you can. Stay tuned for more on Ghost Recon Wildlands leading up to its March 7 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
