Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has managed to remain at the top of the UK game charts for yet another week running. The popular shooter entered the top spot just before the holiday season and has remained there for weeks, becoming the first game of 2017 to be in No. 1 despite being released in early November of last year.
FIFA 17 has been trailing Call of Duty for several weeks in second place. Battlefield 1, Call of Duty’s main rival, had been in third for some time but has now dropped to fourth as Grand Theft Auto V moves into third. Forza Horizon 3 brings up the rear in fifth.
The top 20 are as follows:
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- FIFA 17
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Battlefield 1
- Forza Horizon 3
- Watch Dogs 2
- Mafia III
- Rocket League
- Pokemon Sun
- Steep
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
- Gears of War 4
- Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
- Minecraft: Xbox Edition
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
- Pokemon Moon
- WWE 2K17
- The Division
- The Last Guardian
- Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection
There are rarely many big releases in late December and early January so there hasn’t been much fresh competition to fight for the top spot. However, January will see the release of two hotly anticipated titles in the form of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Gravity Rush 2. Will either of them be able to knock Call of Duty from No. 1?
