Naughty Dog closed out the first day of PlayStation Experience 2016 last weekend with a big announcement trailer for The Last of Us Part II. In the trailer, we got a quick look at 19 year-old Ellie playing a guitar, as well as a glimpse of her new tattoo on her right arm. Just today, Naughty Dog tweeted out a couple of images showing the concept art for Ellie, as well as a more detailed look at her tattoos. You can check them out down below.
The concept art looks gorgeous, as expected, and it should be interesting to see if Ellie’s tattoo with the leaves has any deeper meaning or interpretation within the game itself. Naughty Dog has also confirmed that Part II will be a continuation of Joel and Ellie’s story, and that this would be a story about hate. However, fans are already theorizing that Joel could possibly be dead in this game, and Ellie is on a warpath, out to seek revenge for his death.
The Last of Us Part II is set to be released for the PS4, though no release window has been announced just yet.
