Call of Duty Infinite Warfare releases today, and it isn’t receiving the same praise as other shooters this year. And Titanfall 2 is sending out some cheeky tweets to make sure the world knows.
In a tweet published today, the official Titanfall account said, “One is “mostly slow & plodding” while the other’s “frantic precision is electrifying”– you decide.” The tweet then links to the IGN review of Infinite Warfare, where the reviewer said that the game’s bombastic campaign couldn’t match that of Titanfall.

Both titles are set in futuristic worlds where humanity fights amongst the stars, fighting against machines as much as their own brethren. Both also heavily rely on increased mobility in gameplay. Titanfall lets players double jump, clamber up walls and run along them, while Infinite Warfare features wall running that doesn’t quite stack up.
The past several weeks have seen the release of three of the biggest first person shooters of the year: Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. EA is publishing the first two, putting their WW1 historical shooter and their futuristic robot fighter up against COD’s spacefaring adventure.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is getting fairly good reviews, but the consensus seems to be that it can’t stand up to Titanfall 2’s stellar singleplayer and engaging suite of multiplayer modes. We loved Titanfall 2 in our review, which you can read here.
Titanfall 2 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare are both out now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
