In Dishonored 2 Emily is bestowed with the power Far Reach, which allows her to traverse distances by pulling herself towards a location. Unlike Corvo’s Blink ability, Far Reach does not teleport Emily, but pulls her to an area. Far Reach can be upgraded to allow Emily to grab objects in the world or enemies and pull them towards her for close combat. Pulled enemies can be used as human shields or simply when Emily needs to quickly execute or incapacitate an opponent.

Emily – Domino

The Domino power allows Emily to topple several opponents in a single move by linking them together. When enemies are linked together, any action done on one will duplicate across all individuals in the link. This chained ability allows Emily to take down multiple enemies at the same time and easily clear an area. At the height of this power, Emily can link up to 4 different enemies which is ideal for situations where she is outnumbered. The application of Domino means Emily could link her target with this ability and assassinate them from a room away.

Emily – Mesmerize

This power does exactly what it says on the tin, it mesmerizes opponents. With this skill added to Emily’s arsenal, she can distract enemies by generating a void entity in the world which holds their attention. This powerful ability can be used to sneak past or assassinate guards caught in under the spell of Mesmerize. Once upgraded, Mesmerize can link multiple enemies and its duration can be increased, making it easier to disorient opponents.

Emily – Shadow Walk

With Shadow Walk, Emily assumes a stealthy form which reduces her visibility, making it an ideal power for navigating the world of Dishonored 2 stealthily. Cloaked in this new form, Emily is harder to detect and it also grants her new offensive possibilities. While Shadow Walk is active, Emily can assassinate or incapacitate opponents using the tendrils of this ethereal form. Shadow Walk can be upgraded to increase its duration and also expand the number of enemies which can be assassinated in a single use of this power.

Emily – Doppelganger

With the doppelganger power, Emily can summon an exact copy of herself and distract enemies or simply use this identical copy to deal damage alongside her. As a result of this flexibility, doppelganger can be used as a great offensive ability or when Emily needs to make a quick exit. Emily can upgrade doppelganger further to have this power summon multiple copies of herself and even the ability to switch places with her doppleganger. For creative players, this can lead to some fascinating moments of misdirection.

Dishonored 2 Blink

Similar to Emily’s Far Reach, Blink is a mobility power, but differs slightly as it grants Corvo the power to instantly teleport himself across the level. This instant teleport serves as the ideal method of transport for Corvo and perfect for reaching tricky areas or making a quick escape. Blink has seen several improvements in Dishonored 2, including an upgrade which allows this power to be used in combat which is known as Blink Assault. Blink Assault grants Corvo the power to blink directly towards an enemy and strike them as he materializes before them, enhancing Blinks offensive potential.

Corvo – Possession

Possession grants Corvo the persuasive ability to control humans and animals and bend them to his will. As Corvo embodies any living creature, Possession can be used to circumnavigate guards or obstetrical with ease. As the player upgrades this ability, the potential uses continue to increase; Corvo can gain the ability to transition between possessed hosts and even upgrade Possession to enable control of dead bodies. As a base ability or with the upgrades, this Possession may greatly aid Corvo along his journey.

Corvo – Wind Blast

With the power to harness the elements, Corvo can unleash a devastating concussive blast of wind at opponents. This powerful gust of wind can be used to hurl guards or objects across the map. As Corvo flings guards, either to clear a path or damage them using the environment, Wind Blast is a versatile power which can give him the advantage in any skirmish. As you throw enemies off the stage or hurl explosive barrels, Wind Blast can be utilized in several ways and is a cornerstone of Corvo’s offensive repertoire.

Corvo – Devouring Swarm

Devouring Swarm returns in Dishonored 2 and Corvo can summon a swarm of obedient rats once more. Equipped with an army of rats, Corvo can set them upon his enemies as they swarm and devour opponents in his path. This power is ideal for stealth, as the swarm of rats leave no trace of their merciless act behind. As this power is upgraded, Corvo may summon 2 swarms simultaneously and even have swarms follow his movement as he navigates the map.

Corvo – Bend time

Granting Corvo an almost godlike ability, Bend Time literally allows him to manipulate time. Corvo can use this power to slow the flow of time and strategically plan his next move. Whether sneaking past guards, or tactically eliminating opponents, Bend Time grants Corvo remarkable flexibility. As players upgrade this power, Dishonored 2 lets Corvo stop time completely or movement faster while time is frozen which can be coupled with other powers in exciting ways.

Emily & Corvo – Dark Vision

Making an appearance once more, Dishonored 2 reintroduces Dark Vision. This time, it’s available for both Emily and Corvo. This useful power allows Emily and Corvo to see enemies through walls which aid in planning and assassinations. Dark Vision is ideal for players attempting a stealthy approach as each enemy’s cone of vision is visible, increasing the player’s level of awareness. This potent power aids in circumventing enemy patrols, finding hidden items and even identifying security systems which aim to impede your path.
