Upgrading the Fabricator in Horde 3.0 – Gears of War 4
The Fabricator is essentially your base in Gears of War 4’s Horde 3.0 and will allow you to build a variety of fortifications and powerful weapons to help see you through to wave 50. While the initial offerings are certainly nothing to stick your nose up at, more powerful and useful fortifications and weapons await you once it’s been upgraded.
Therefore, you’ll want to upgrade your Fabricator as early as possible to help make things a little easier when the challenge really does ramp up. Upgrading your portable base is actually incredibly simple. Just as you’ll be picking up Power from fallen enemies to allow you to build fortifications, this is also the way you’ll upgrade your Fabricator. Simply keep dropping Power into it and once it hits specific milestones, it will automatically level up and open up exciting new options for you.
Therefore, it’s always a good idea to pick up as much Power as you can at the end of each round from fallen enemies. Split your team so some are repairing and preparing your defenses for the next round, and use a Scout to pick up the Power. Their unique ability will double any they pick up and deposit into the Fabricator.
