For Honor is Dropping Split-Screen Support

Online only.

For Honor, Ubisoft, New IP,

One of the coolest things about For Honor was that the game would allow you to play with your friends using couch co-op, split-screen support. However, the developers have announced that the feature is going to be removed from the game. In an interview with IGN, producer Stephane Cardin announced the drop, as well as the team’s reasoning behind its removal.

“It was a feature that we loved, but, when we looked at what needs to be done to support online co-op, for us it was critical to make a decision now so we can polish all the features at the AAA level and make sure that we have the most amazing experience.”

Of course, friends will still be able to play with and against each other, but the multiplayer experience will now be kept online only, which is a bit of a shame for those without a reliable internet connection.

For Honor is set to be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 14, 2017.
