Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: How to Get Super Saiyan Transformations

Super Saiyan – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Recommended Videos

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 allows players to create their very own heroes out of one of five different races – Namekian, Majin, Frieza, Human, and, of course, Saiyan. Each of these races has a higher form that bolsters their power during battle in exchange for resources or certain stats. For Saiyans, that comes in the form of Super Saiyan transformations and this game goes above its predecessor by giving you access to Super Saiyan 1, 2, and 3 (yeah, it gets crazy).  Of course, before you can wield this awesome power, you’re going to have to unlock the skills first, and who better to teach you than Vegeta, the warrior prince of the Saiyans.

Early on in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, you’re introduced to the five time rifts floating around Conton City. One of these is Capsule Corporation and this is where Vegeta will sometimes challenge you (which is part of the Time Eggs collection quest). If you face him as a Saiyan, he will take note, although he won’t give you anything for your first fight. During your second fight, he will remark how you’ve yet to learn the Super Saiyan transformations. Upon completion of this fight, you will be prompted to speak to both Bulma and Kid Trunks (they’ll have green question marks over their heads).

If you spoke to both of them, the next time Vegeta appears he will have a new challenge for you. He will challenge you to a match as per usual, only this time he’ll transform and teach you how to do so as well as you fight each other. When all is said and done, you will have unlocked the transformations for use outside of the sparring.
