The remastered versions of both the original, critically acclaimed BioShock and its 2010 sequel BioShock 2 have finally landed on Steam, with the more recent BioShock Infinite not receiving a remaster since it already looks damn pretty.

Available for free if you already owned both the original versions of the games on Steam, the PC versions of these two remasters have been met with mixed player response thus far. Many claim both old and new bugs made their way into the remasters, as well as some clunky mouse controls and a complete lack of graphical options to tweak. Some players even go as far as dubbing them “retextures” instead of actual remasters.

These issues seem to apply to both remasters, according to a vast amount of Steam reviews for both games. It is yet unclear whether 2K is planning to roll out some much needed patches.

The BioShock remasters are now available on Steam for the price of $19.99 or completely free of charge if you already owned the original versions.
