Atlus has released the latest in their line of TV spots, focusing on the party members of Persona 5. Previously we’ve seen videos focusing on Morgana the cat and the protagonist, while this time Makoto Niijima takes the spotlight.
Makoto is one of the Phantom Thief party members in Persona 5, a third-year high school student and also the student council president at Syujin High School, where the protagonist attends. She seems to have a strong sense of duty and responsibility, with her all-out attack reading ” Justice Has Prevailed.” Her Persona takes the form of a flaming motorcycle.
One of the story themes of Persona 5 has to do with each of the main characters fighting back against what’s holding them down. The beginning of Makoto’s TV spot gives a hint at what we might find out about her when she states, “I actually found somewhere I belong. Perhaps this was my fate.” Take a look at the full video down below, and you can see it with English subtitles here.
Persona 5 launches on February 14, 2017 for PS4 and PS3. The game launches September 15 in Japan. You can take a look at the first 18 minutes of the game here, although beware of spoilers. If you want to see every characters all-out attack animation, you can see them here.
