It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen a Nintendo Direct, with the last official one airing before E3. That’s about to change however, as the company has announced over Twitter a brand new Nintendo Direct focusing exclusively on upcoming Nintendo 3DS games. The broadcast will happen on September 1 at 7 a.m. Pacific Time.

There’s no official announcement on what games we could see during the Direct, but there’s probably a few that are guaranteed to show up. With the recent release of Metroid Prime: Federation Force, we could see some kind of push for that game or a DLC announcement for it. The company also has Yo-Kai Watch 2 coming at the end of September, and their new IP Ever Oasis that was announced at E3.
Additionally, with the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon drawing closer, it will undoubtedly be one of the big focuses of the broadcast. We’ve seen a steady stream of announcements for the new games, and you can see all of the new Pokemon that have been announced so far here. Hopefully a few new announcements are in store for the 3DS as well.
