Cosmos Rings is the latest RPG from Square Enix, and it’s being handled by the director of the Chaos Rings franchise, which some JRPG fans might be familiar with.
According to Famitsu, this new RPG will be developed for the Apple Watch, and will make use of its pedometer function. It’s unclear exactly how combat will work in this game, but maybe the power level of your character is determined by the number of steps you took in that same day. Who knows, really?
Famitsu also mentions that the game is slated for a worldwide release this summer, and the game will be available on both the Apple App Store, as well as the Watch App Store. So if you’re a big fan of JRPGs, and you happen to own an Apple Watch, keep an eye out for this one.
The game doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it is expected to be launched some time this summer.
