It has been nearly two weeks since Uncharted 4 launched and we now know how many people have experienced the bittersweet conclusion to Nathan Drake’s adventures.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sold 2.7 million copies during its first week on sale, Asad Qizilbash, Marketing Manager at SCEA, revealed in a post on the PlayStation Blog. He said: It’s one of the most beautifully crafted games I’ve ever played, and the great reception we’ve seen from the community has been amazing and humbling.”
The figure includes worldwide sell-through data for both the physical and the digital versions as of May 16, 2016. In comparison to the other games in the series, Uncharted 4 is far ahead, with Uncharted 3 selling less than 1.5 million copies during its first week.
Asad Qizilbash concluded his post by writing: “Most of all, we wanted to give a special thank you to all of you who joined us so far on this incredible adventure, and have embarked with us on Nathan Drake’s final, wild ride.”
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is out now for PlayStation 4.
