It looks like Hello Game’s No Man’s Sky won’t be coming as soon as we think.
Despite the enormous amounts of hype and public response to Hello Game’s E3 showstopper, it seems that the game is going to struggle to make its initial promised release date of June 21. A reputable source over at Kotaku initially broke the news, but it has been all but confirmed by a source working at Gamestop.
Upon receiving the marketing material for the game, there was a notice included with a warning stating that the release date had since changed, and that they must cover up all signs of the release date with a ‘Coming Soon’ sticker.
Whilst this is not concrete proof, the evidence provided below is certainly convincing.
This is worrisome news for Hello Games and No Man’s Sky fans, but hopefully the re purposed date won’t be too far in the future, and we’ll see some more of the mysterious game at E3 in the coming weeks.
The delay could mean more content and features, even if we have to wait a little while longer to explore the ‘18,446,744,073,709,551,616’ planets on offer.
