Get ready to die, and die again in glorious 60 FPS. The official Twitter account for Dark Souls revealed that the PC version of Dark Souls III will run at 60 FPS. There is no information yet about what the FPS will be for consoles.
Despite the good news, some players are already asking if the game is locked in at 60 FPS or if it can be uncapped. The reason for that concern stems from an infamous Dark Souls II bug that caused weapons to degrade twice at fast while playing at 60 FPS. As of now, there’s no word on that, but one would assume that the developers already have it on their radar and would actively try to avoid having that be a problem once again.
So for now, all fans can do is hope for the best, and patiently wait for Dark Souls III’s Apr. 12 worldwide release date.
