Gearbox’s Battleborn is a self-described “hero shooter” where players choose from 25 different badasses, each with their own faction they’ve sworn allegiance to. Whether in 5v5 matches or story mode, players will go up against a powerful force of darkness hellbent on wiping out the galaxy. None of these factions trust each other entirely, but that doesn’t matter when complete extinction is on the line.
“Battleborn is set in a distant future, where nearly every star in the universe has gone dark at the hands of a mysterious enemy. Solus, the last star, is the only beacon of hope for the universe’s surviving population. The fading of stars has led to a great war among those desperate for the last remaining resources.
