XCOM 2, the hotly anticipated sequel to 2012’s hit turn-based strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown, has been on sale for less than one week, and it has already sold over 500,000 units.

This news comes via an update from SteamSpy, which keeps track of owner data on Steam . Not only has the game sold well, it has received acclaim from both critics and fans.
These are certainly impressive figures for a game that has been out for less than a week. It’s also impressive given the somewhat niche genre of the game. XCOM 2 was released exclusively for the PC on Feb. 5.
