After ten years in development, Final Fantasy XV is one of the most awaited games of this year. We already know that Square Enix will be officially announcing the release date for the game in March, but it looks like we’ll be getting a little bit of information before then.
Today over the game’s offical Twitter it was announced that a new Active Time Report, Square’s broadcast series detailing Final Fantasy XV, is set for January 30 at 8:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on their YouTube channel.
Apparently the program will be subtitled in English and will feature director Hajime Tabata as well as global marketing director Akio Ofuji. The program will discuss new information on the battle system, magic and the warmongering Niflheim Empire. We’ll also get some kind of update on the event coming in March that will unveil the game’s release date.
Square also released a new batch of screenshots today that give us a look at Noctis using the “Fire” spell, XV’s version of Magitek armor, using aerial strike on enemies and using stealth to sneak past some Niflheim soldiers. Take a look at the screens in the gallery below.
Final Fantasy XV is set to release sometime in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Are you going to tune into the new Active Time Report this week? Are you looking forward to finally getting a release date for Final Fantasy XV? Let us know what you think about the game down below.
