It has been revealed by developer Supergiant Games that its game Transistor has sold over one million copies since it was released on the PC and PlayStation 4 back in May 2014.
The last figures we knew of was back in January when it was announced that the game had sold over 600,000 copies. It’s a testament to how good the game is that it has managed to reach the million mark in under a year since then.
Supergiant has released a blog post on its official site marking the goal. “We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to stick together as a team and with any luck keep making the kinds of games that resonate with you for a long time to come.”
Transistor received great acclaim from both critics and gamers alike when it was first released. The game currently holds a 10/10 score on Steam, and a 4/5 on Metacritic. The sutio’s other game, Bastion has also been a great success with great reviews and over 3 million sales.
