After putting Cloud into Super Smash Bros it seems like Nintendo’s in a bit of a Final Fantasy mood. Along with the upcoming release of World of Final Fantasy for the 3DS, Nintendo has just released Final Fantasy VI Advance for the Wii U eShop in Japan and it even got its own trailer.

Final Fantasy VI Advance is a Gameboy Advance remake of the SNES version of Final Fantasy VI (or III as it was named outside Japan) that was released in 2006 in Japan and 2007 in North America. The remake added some additional content including new summons such as Gilgamesh, new items, and even some new dungeons.

While Nintendo hasn’t released any information about whether Final Fantasy VI Advance will be released in the West, the SNES version of the game was released on the Wii so a release is definitely possible.
