Maybe it’s not time to hit the Final Fantasy VII Remake panic button just quite yet. According to a clarifying statement that was sent by Square Enix to Kotaku about FFVII Remake, each episode will be quite lengthy. This is what Square Enix had to say regarding the length of the episodes:
It means instead of concluding in one entry, multiple entries are being considered in development. Each entry will have its own unique story. As a gaming experience, each entry will have the volume of content equal to a full-sized game.
That will probably come as good news to most Final Fantasy fans. More gameplay is better than less, right? However, there are still a lot of unanswered questions that were not addressed by the teaser trailer the other day. The number of episodes is still unknown, as is what kind of form they will take, especially now that we know they will be the size of a full game.
While we got a glimpse of the gameplay (it sure looks different), what is the fate of elements such as the overworld map? Until we see more of FFVII Remake, only Square Enix knows the answer.
Does the news of longer episodes make you feel better about FFVII Remake? Let us know in the comments.
